So this one is for all of you Europeans over the pond - today we’re going to be talking about Viagogo, a tickets hub that services the Euro community. The site looks nice and easy to use when you first bring it up - major navigational elements are at the top of the page, with more down the side and then featured tickets right down the middle.

One thin that struck me is that although they presented themselves as more of a concert ticket site, you do find a front page section for both Sports Tickets and Arts and Theatre tickets as well - it’s nice and all inclusive there. This isn’t a site like you would normally think about when it comes to tickets - you are buying them from actual fans instead of something like ticketmaster. You can also sell your tickets as well, which makes it a nice little site to take a look at if you want to offload your RBS Six Nation Tickets or your ICC World Twenty20 Tickets .

The signing up process is very easy, with just a quick form to go through. I got my welcome email right away, and then it was back to the site to see how everything worked.

One section you’ll probably like are the Exclusive Tickets, which is a section filled with tickets you are only going to find at Viagogo. There are VIP tickets here for concerts like Madonna, exclusive tickets for Oktoberfest Munich, and they even have some movie premiere tickets in here. Now that’s pretty cool.

The selling process seems to be fairly secure, as all sellers are required to guarantee their tickets with a credit or debit card. There are three different types of listings: Fixed Price, Auction, and Declining Price. This gives you a lot of flexibility on getting your tickets out there and sold. They also handle getting your postage paid packaging, so you aren’t even paying shipping to get your tickets out to customers, along with taking care of all of the customer service.

Buying is as simple as selling, and you get all of the information on each ticket including the section, the face value, and other relevant bits of information. Overall I’d say that Viagogo is a nicely laid out site with a lot of ticket listings for the concerts and events I looked at. Couple that with a user friendly layout and easy to use features and you have yourself a great site if you’re based in the UK.

Sometimes I wonder if it’s physically possible to actually get enough of Final Fantasy music. I don’t personally think so, but I could eventually find out I’m wrong. I hope not though, because not being able to enjoy bands like the Video Game Cover Band would make me very sad.

The Video Game Cover Band might not have the wittiest name in the world, but it gets straight to the point now doesn’t it? They performed this arrangement of classic Mario themes at the Lion’s Den in New York City, and I have to say that I was really digging the drum beats in this.

A Battle of the Bands is not somewhere I would exactly expect to hear a video game compilation, but hey - I’m glad Bare Necessities decided to do something nerdcore cool. Because I’m a giant Tetris geek, that is probably my favorite part of the song hehe.

While I am a fan of the video game covers that I find here and there, it’s really sweet to find someone that takes the music and makes it their own. And after listening to his Final Fantasy guitar music yesterday, I just couldn’t leave it at just that! So I ended up wandering into his user profile at Youtube and seeing what treasures he had hiding there… Lucky me, I found out he did a sweet rendition of Castlevania: SoTN. Enjoy!

Damn… that’s all I can really say about this masterful guitar remix of Force Your Way..and I believe at some point it’s mentioned that this is the Black Mage version of the song. Either way, this dude is completely badass…I mean a complete guitar badass. Just try to watch his fingers through some of it, I’m in complete fucking awe here.

I’ll admit it, I was a band geek in high school - so this video makes me extra happy and giddy, although I never was able to work in video game music to our marching sets.

I don’t know how I haven’t seen these guys before, but they rock! The Spoony Bards, in addition to having a pretty badass name, are also pretty hot at their instruments. This video shows off their Chrono Trigger music skills as they perform at ColossalCon 2007.

I know my posting schedule absolutely blows - it’s been months. I do have a few good reasons, but right now time is just not on my side unfortunately. However, when I find performances that are way too good to pass up, I’ll make it a point to make the time to post them, like today’s Punch Out Rock Out which is pure genius.
